It's a well-oiled racket that Marla and her business-partner and lover Fran (Eiza González) use with brutal efficiency on their latest "cherry," Jennifer Peterson (two-time Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest) -- a wealthy retiree with no living heirs or family. But when their mark turns out to have an equally shady secret of her own and connections to a volatile gangster (Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage), Marla is forced to level up in a game only predators can play -- one that's neither fair, nor square. Audience Says

Rosamund Pike and Peter Dinklage do good work, but they're acting in a dark and ugly story that doesn't give the audience anyone to root for.

Thomas K The plot itself was an interesting concept but I think its execution was poorly done. The cast does a good job acting but the movie starts to go off the rails halfway through. For being a mafia boss you would expect peter dinklage to be ruthless and relentless but he instead was timid, and his crew of gangsters incompetent. The plot could have ended many ways and i think ultimately they chose the least satisfying conclusion for the audience and left a lot to be desired. Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/20/24 Full Review Matt J This is really well written and Pike, Wiest and Dinklage are all stellar in their performances. The huge problem this film has is that its motivating factor is to deliver a moral message on late stage capitalism in the final 10 minutes, and it does so with no pay off for the audience. there is no one to root for, there's no arc to really complete. ultimately the writers failed to find a way of making the film something you want to come back to Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Mertcan Y The worst movie I have ever, I wish I never saw this. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Deelan L The worst movie I have ever watched. I signed up to this site just so I could review it. A promising concept, executed fine until about 1/3 of the way through where it all just turns to complete nonsense, extremely frustrating, terribly written I wish I never saw this.
